Under applicable law, consumers in the European Union (EU), the European Economic Area (EEA), and in the United Kingdom (UK) have a right to withdraw from or cancel certain purchases for a refund (the “Right of Withdrawal”). Under certain circumstances, Life360 also voluntarily grants refunds, see Section IX(C) “Refunds” of the Term of Service.
If you have your habitual residence within a Member State of the EU, EEA, or in the UK and are entering into a contract with Life360, Inc. (or our subsidiaries Tile and Jiobit) as a consumer (for example, as a subscriber to Life360’s services or through the purchase of a Tile or Jiobit), you have the right to withdraw from the contract as described below.
Below, we also explain how the two refund rights within the Right of Withdrawal apply to:
- physical goods (for example, Tiles and/or Jiobits); and
- digital Services that you purchase through Life360 or an applicable app store (for example, the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store).
Life360 is obligated as a trader to inform you of the EU/EEA/UK Right of Withdrawal in very specific legal terms, which are below.
I. EU RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL
A. Right of Withdrawal
You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.
For any subscription to Life360, Tile or Jiobit purchased online, you have agreed upon checkout that the withdrawal period will expire 14 days after you purchase such subscription. For hardware (Tiles or Jiobits), the withdrawal period will expire after 14 days from the day on which you acquire, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of (i) the goods or, (ii) in the case of a contract relating to multiple goods ordered by you in one order and delivered separately, the last good.
B. Exercising Your Right of Withdrawal
You have a few options to exercise the Right of Withdrawal.
- You may submit your request to withdraw via our electronic form immediately below,
- You may send us a notice of your decision to withdraw from this contract at Life360, Inc., 1900 S. Norfolk Street, #310, San Mateo, CA 94403, United States, Attention: Right of Withdrawal Customer Support (e.g., a letter sent by post) using a hardcopy of the form found in Section II (Model Withdrawal Form), below.
For any withdrawal related to the return of hardware you must obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (“RMA”) for the return of a Tile or Jiobit. For more information on how to obtain a RMA for the return of a Tile or Jiobit please see Section III(B) “Return Merchandise Authorization (“RMA”) Required”, below.
To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.
C. Effects of Withdrawal
If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse to you all payments received from you, for the applicable Product or Service (we do not refund the costs of delivery or the cost to return the applicable Product), without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract. We will use commercially reasonable efforts to carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction (please see Section IV(A) “Refunds and Special Payment Methods” below for additional reimbursement limitations); in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement. We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the Products back or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the Products, whichever is the earliest.
NOTE: If you are withdrawing from the agreement for Life360 Services, then we will delete your account in accordance with our Privacy Policy and you will no longer have access to any of your Circles.
D. Exceptions from the Right of Withdrawal
The statutory Right of Withdrawal is not applicable as regards the following:
- the supply of Tiles or Jiobits made to the consumer’s specifications or are personalized; and
- you have ended the applicable “trial period” on your Life360, Tile or Jiobit account and have utilized any of the underlying services afforded to subscribers (for example, Roadside/Breakdown Assistance, Credit Monitoring, or Tile’s Item Replacement warranty).

Do not send Tiles or Jiobits in the Mail with this Letter. All returns of Tiles or Jiobits must be pre-authorized and must have a Return Merchandise Authorization (“RMA”) number from Tile or Jiobit, as applicable. Please follow the instructions outlined in our support articles entitled:
- for Tile, please see “Tile Warranty and Replacements (RMA)”, or
- for Jiobit, please email support@jiobit.com with your request for an RMA.
III. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
A. Refunds and Special Payment Methods
Please note that not all payment methods which can be used for payments allow a direct reimbursement (for example, payments made through the Apple App Store or pre-paid cards). Reimbursements for such payments will be facilitated by Life360 via another, common payment method. In any case, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.
B. Return Merchandise Authorization (“RMA”) Required
All returns of TIles or Jiobits must be pre-authorized. To obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (“RMA”) number from Tile, please follow the instructions outlined in our support article entitled “Tile Warranty and Replacements (RMA)”.
You shall send back the Products in accordance with the Return Merchandise Authorization instructions provided, without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your withdrawal from this contract to us. The deadline is met if you send back the Products before the period of 14 days has expired.
You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the Products. You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the Products.
C. Avoidance of Queries
To help us to swiftly identify your account and payments, we ask you to provide the username, telephone number and email address you used to register for your Life360, Tile or Jiobit account, as applicable, in all communications concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal as well as any applicable Tile or Jiobit order number and the date of the concerned order.
